
With 150km of ski runs of different levels of complexity, The Galibier-Thabor skiing area offers great skiing and snowboarding up to 3000m altitude. What’s more, extensive snow-making (400 cannons) means that skiing is guaranteed throughout the season, from December to the end of April. You will also find a variety of cross-country ski trails that are sure to appeal to those in search of peace and tranquility.
The shuttle bus for Valloire town centre stops right outside the apartment block.
Besides the many activities on offer, Valloire hosts an annual International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival. Contestants from around the world brave the cold for 3 days and 3 nights to carve their glistening works of art. Exquisite !

A Via Ferrata – literally “Iron way” - consists of iron rungs and cables, which enable you to climb in complete security. In the Maurienne valley, ten different mountains routes have been equipped in this way. The Via Ferrata du Diable (The “Devil’s way”!) in Aussois is made up of seven separate sections. Put end to end, they represent a total length of 3,760m and form the longest Via Ferrata in France.
This sport requires concentration and you need to be physically fit. Those who suffer from vertigo, abstain!

There are many mythical mountain passes to be cycled in the Maurienne region : The Galibier, the Croix de Fer, the Col de la Madeleine , the Col de l’Iseran, the Telegraph, the Glandon… but many easier trails criss-cross the lower valley too.
Popular activities open to everyone: jumps, slides, abseiling, canyoning and river-running. No less than 8 canyons are specially equipped, amongst which sites in Le Corbier, Saint-Sorlin d’Arves, Valfréjus, La Norma, Aussois, Bonneval sur Arc…
